The crown jewel of this shift knob is the patinated silver top, with the stamped "FUCHSFELGE " sign. It all started in the early 1960s as PORSCHE developed the type 911 and a very special wheel was required for it. OTTO FUCHS accepted the challenge and developed the first forged aluminum wheel for series production, the legendary PORSCHE “windmill” wheel, which soon became well known as the FUCHSFELGE.
Base connection: CNC machined to fit specific applications, then hard anodized in gray color.
The short and spherical body of gear knob perfectly fits an open palm grip, for a full and soft control of the gear shift.
Gear knob fits: Porsche 911 964/993/996/997 models with manual transmission. There is no need to cut, drill, or modify your factory shift lever to install.
