The crown jewel of this shift knob is the patinated silver top, with the stamped "FUCHSFELGE " sign. It all started in the early 1960s as PORSCHE developed the type 911 and a very special wheel was required for it. OTTO FUCHS accepted the challenge and developed the first forged aluminum wheel for series production, the legendary PORSCHE “windmill” wheel, which soon became well known as the FUCHSFELGE.
Base connection: stainless steel.
The short and spherical body of the gear knob perfectly fits an open palm grip, for full and soft control of the gear shift.
The gear knob fits all 911's up to 1989, including the 930 model.
